The Bible instructs us in Galatians 6:10: "as we have opportunity to do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

At BBC we know and understand that it is indeed the responsibility of the church (the community of faith) to care for the church. Thus, the Congregational Care Ministry comprised of several ministries within BBC endeavors to assist the Pastor; encouraging, loving and caring for the congregation; encouraging regular attendance in times of worship and teaching and assisting during times of challenges, illness, grief, and other catastrophic concerns.

The heart of this ministry is to walk out God's love; bringing each disciple into the fullness of understanding that each disciple of this community of faith has a responsibility to care for the congregation as led by Holy Spirit.

The Ministries Below are within Congregational Care

Diaconate Ministry

The Diaconate Ministry of BBC in accordance with Acts Chapter 6 serves specifically and intentionally to assist the Pastor in caring for the disciples of Bethesda.

The Diaconate Ministry walking in God's love purposes to do this through Sheepfold ministry. Deacons through this Sheepfold ministry maintain contact with the sheep (disciples), praying with them, encouraging attendance in worship and teaching opportunities, encourages disciples to serve in ministries according to their gifts and talents and to assist and direct to appropriate ministries in times of life challenges.

Disciples of Bethesda are assigned to one of three sheepfolds: Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, based upon the first letter of the disciples' last name.

Hospitality Ministry

The purpose of the Hospitality Ministry is to reveal the heart of Christ, while ministering to the needs of this community of faith and their families during times of grief, assisting in special services and in community outreach events.

The Hospitality Ministry is a 'helps' ministry, serving with a grateful heart.

The Hospitality Ministry serves through preparing and serving meals and greeting and serving in love as led by Holy Spirit to meet the needs of the congregation, their families and our Pastor. Thus, the ministry serves in such a way to allow the ministers and Pastor to minister to individuals and families as ordained by God.

Lighthouse Intercessory Prayer Ministry

The purpose of the Lighthouse Intercessory Prayer Ministry is to PRAY for others; to earnestly seek the face of God as we present the needs of others to Him by standing in the gap for them. First Timothy 2:1-2 reads: “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
